Kansas City Public Television, KCPT, seeks an experienced sales manager to lead our Corporate Support team in securing 15- and 30-second corporate sponsorship messages (underwriting) on KCPT, and event sponsorships. Successful candidate will also work closely with station leadership to secure corporate funding for mission-based television projects.

Position requires training and motivating a small sales staff to develop new business while growing and maintaining current clients/supporters. Some high level personal sales are also required. Must be able to organize and focus the sales department’s effort in a dynamic environment.
The position requires excellent communication, organizational, presentation, time-management and computer skills. Four-year college degree required. Minimum two years sales management experience required. Media sales experience preferred.

KCPT is a community driven public television station licensed by the FCC to serve the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. The station carries the complete PBS lineup and produces an array of weekly programs, specials and documentaries. Some 700,000 viewers watch KCPT’s three channels every month.

KCPT offers:
50,000 base salary plus commission
Medical, dental and vision health plans
403(b) annuity with company contribution
Excellent training and management support

Happenings in KC

The kiddos are back in school and the Chiefs are back on the field!
Football season is finally here, we should have another good season. The first pre-season game is Friday, I hope it’s a realistic preview of what’s to come.

El Groupo Antontonico is hosting a fundraiser for on Sunday at Boulevard Brewery, complete with performances, live entertainment, and cold Boulevard products.
