Free Community Events During All-Star
The 2012 MLB All-Star week kicks off in Kansas City this Friday! Visitors and residents have the opportunity to join in on some of the free events offered in Kansas City.
Beginning Friday, July 6-8, Grand Slam Fan Jam at Barney Allis Plaza will showcase local cuisine and music as well as offer a kids play area and activities for the entire family.
Hours:
Friday: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Local music artists include: David Basse & The Joe Cartwright Trio, The Zeros, Making Movies, Jim Cosgrove, The Book of Gaia, Michael Beers Band and more.
At 9:30 each night, look towards Municipal Auditorium for a baseball video spectacular show, presented by Quixotic Fusion, Bazillion Pictures and Substream Music.
On Tuesday, July 10, five districts are hosting free Community Watch Parties.

Guadalupe Center (game televised in Spanish)
18th & Vine Historic Jazz District
Kansas City Zoo
Zona Rosa – Town Square
